One Voice Mississippi

One Voice Mississippi is a statewide nonprofit born out of the Mississippi NAACP to build an equal say in democracy for communities long left out. One Voice develops grassroots leaders and hosts community town halls, listening sessions, and “People’s Assemblies” to identify citizens’ concerns — from voting barriers to disaster recovery. They then channel those ideas into action, whether drafting new policy or training activists. One Voice frequently partners with Black church networks and student groups to hold forums where public officials hear directly from constituents. During elections, they sponsor candidate town halls and statewide issue summits to inform and empower Black voters.
